Spotlight: Hope Marches On-Providing Christmas Where Christmas HOPE Was Lost

“Together, the Knoxville community is providing thousands of families with Christmas each and every year through our Christmas Programs like Angel Tree and Red Kettles. With a huge collaboration of donations and volunteers, we can assist and provide meals and gifts for families in need every Christmas.

Not only are you changing lives, but you’re providing joy, hope and love in a season where those are the definition of Christmas. Thank you Knoxville, let’s keep it up!

We knew this past Christmas season would be difficult. We knew we would face challenges with everything that is happening in the world. So, we made adjustments and our generous community stepped up and went the extra mile for those in need in greater Knoxville.

Angel Tree donors were able to shift from collecting tags from trees to purchasing gifts from an online registry. Thanks to them, over 1,500 children and 200 senior citizens were able to open gifts Christmas morning, 2020.

You probably heard the sound of our traditional bells less last year. However, our volunteers gave of their time, donating hundreds of hours ringing the bells for us, allowing donors across our communities to show their support to our mission at the physical kettles and through the virtual red kettles.

For all of this, we want to say, “Thank You.” Because of you, we will support hundreds of families and individuals in our programs this year.

We will continue to face adversities and uncertainties in the coming year. We are incredibly grateful for the steady support of our generous community!

Angel Tree Program

We had the privilege to serve thousands of children and their families, and now they will have a house filled with smiles on Christmas.

But none of these would have been possible if it wasn’t for the amazing support we received from Knoxville citizens. We do thank all Angel Tree Adopters, Volunteers and Sponsors because, without you, this wouldn’t be possible.”
