Recipe: Boost Your Immunity

Enjoy this family remedy of local mixologist Brent Williams, at Surin of Thailand. It will surely “raise your spirits”.

Derived from my great great great grandmothers recipe which was a “granny woman”, This warm tea contains all the ingredients “to cure what ails you “ by leaving you deliciously warm and toasty. With crushed basil as an anti-inflammatory, Lemon zest which dramatically improve lung function, orange infused local honey which gives you both vitamin C as well as allergy relief, jasmine tea which is a natural antioxidant and toasty smooth Grand Marnier which makes everything better.

Ingredients

4 Basil leaves

1 Tablespoon lemon zest

1 1/2 ounces orange honey

1 1/2 ounces Grand Marnier

Jasmine Tea

Instructions

Brew your Jasmine tea while you gather and prep your ingredients. (Jasmine Tea from theTeaspot.com has very high grade spring-picked green tea from China’s Fujian region, lightly scented with fresh jasmine petals, and expertly shaped into pearls, which slowly unfurl into long needle shaped leaves when steeped. Brews into a gorgeous infusion with heavenly aroma.)

Use fresh basil if possible, it will provide better nutrients and flavor.

Combine all ingredients, top with your hot Jasmine tea and enjoy the delicious healing benefits of this “granny woman” recipe.
